SUSTAINABILITY BLUEPRINT
Sustainable inputs are the first steps in the denim industry’s journey to realign itself in order to meet these significant sustainability goals. Starting in 2021, Freedom will only use recycled polyester, or recycled polyester with CiCLO®, a additive that enables synthetic, plastic-based fibers to act like natural fibers – making a inorganic compound break down like a organic compound and in just a fraction of the time of a conventional polyester or nylon. CiCLO® has the potential to redefine how we work with – and dispose of – synthetics by having plastic fibers degrade like plants. We will no longer use virgin polyester within our manufacturing process, unless by request.
